Challenge
In Oman, a krooki is a document containing information about a property a person owns. It includes information such as the size of the plot, the perimeter within which it is possible to build, and the location of the land. The coordinates can also be used to locate the land, which is very useful when seeking information about a property.
Locating land can be a time-consuming and error-prone process that requires the manual reading and interpretation of coordinates from land deeds. GOLads needed a solution that would make reading and interpreting coordinates from land deeds more efficient and accurate.
Solution
PhazeRo developed an OCR Krooki solution that uses advanced Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and machine learning algorithms to read and interpret coordinates from land deeds. The solution extracts the relevant data from scanned land deeds and applies machine learning models to detect and interpret coordinates, which are then drawn on a Google Map. The solution has significantly reduced the time and resources required for land deed analysis, resulting in more accurate and reliable data.
